SHEPHERD GAMES
Engage in fun games that our ancestors once played to pass the time at the foot of the Slovenian Alps. The Shepherd Games are part of the Greentovci program, where we present activities closely tied to local traditions, customs, and culture in the Kamnik-Savinja Alps. Shepherds used these games to pass the time, and often, they were used for various wagers and proof of skill.
In the program, participants are divided into groups and assigned to different stations. Each group has a limited amount of time to perform a specific shepherd game as best as they can. The shepherd games are perfect for outdoor events, and their spirit is brought to life by the stunning panorama of Velika Planina.
Briefly about the shepherd game program:
- Location? Anywhere, but we recommend the Kamnik-Savinja Alps area, where the games can be further enriched.
- Who? The game is suitable for both younger and older groups. Older participants will recall games that were passed down from their parents, while younger ones will discover that even simple games can be a fun challenge.
- Duration? Flexible – from one hour to several hours.
When? Shepherds used to repair tools, sew, and prepare for the grazing season during winter, so we suggest avoiding winter dates for this program.
EPICHUNT – ON THE MOUNTAIN PASTURES
The team-building program ETC Treasure Hunt consists of an app, a group start, and several checkpoints where your skills will be tested. You move between locations using iPads, which display instructions and hints in real time. At each checkpoint, you’ll face a fun and interesting task, and once you complete it successfully, you’ll receive directions on how to proceed. The team that first overcomes all the challenges, discovers all the hidden points, and reaches the finish line wins.
The set of tasks at the checkpoints can be customized to the client’s preferences, and it includes photo challenges, riddles, motor puzzles, and much more.
