In July and August, we organize guided tours of Velika Planina, primarily for individual guests who wish to explore Velika Planina with a local guide, visit hidden corners, and learn about the natural and cultural landmarks of this unique plateau. A walk among the idyllic shepherd’s huts, mountain air, and pleasant temperatures invite you to visit Velika Planina!
Guided tours will be organized on July 27th, August 3rd and 4th, and August 10th, with two tours per day – one in Slovenian and one in English.
• 10:00 AM (Gradišče – top of the chairlift) – in Slovenian
• 12:00 PM (Gradišče – top of the chairlift) – in English
A local guide will take you through all the natural and cultural landmarks of Velika Planina. Through ancient stories, amusing anecdotes, and interesting tales, you will feel the essence of Velika Planina and learn about its historical background.
GUIDED TOUR DATES:
• Saturdays: JULY 27th, AUGUST 3rd, and AUGUST 10th
• Sunday, AUGUST 4th (as part of Trnič Day)
PRICE:
• €5.00 for adults
• Children up to 5.99 years old can join for free.
In case of bad weather, the guided tour will be canceled. This will be announced the evening before on www.velikaplanina.si. Tickets for the guided tour can be purchased at the cable car ticket office and at the information point at the upper cable car station. At the start of the tour, present your receipt to the guide as proof of purchase. Payment and reservation for the tour can also be made via email at booking@velikaplanina.si.
