Winter has finally revealed its true face! Around 15-20 cm of fresh snow has fallen on Velika Planina, allowing us to open the first winter activities and invite you to a magical winter experience. Enjoy breathtaking views of snow-covered pastures, shepherds’ huts with white rooftops, and the fresh mountain air, while indulging in delicious homemade cuisine and winter fun!
Starting from Saturday, February 15, 2025, we invite you to:
✅ Children’s Ski Lift Jurček – Operating daily from 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM, perfect for young skiers and beginners.
✅ Children’s Ski Conveyor – Operating daily from 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM, a great addition for little winter sports enthusiasts.
✅ Daytime Sledding – Enjoy thrilling rides down the groomed sledding track from 8:30 AM to 4:15 PM. The sledding run stretches from the intermediate chairlift station to the upper cable car station. Sled rentals are available at the upper cable car station.
Night sledding is currently unavailable due to insufficient snow. The remaining ski slopes also remain closed for now.
Cable Car and Chairlift Schedule During Winter Holidays
- Cable car: Operates daily from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
- Chairlift: Runs daily from 8:30 AM to 4:15 PM.
Local Cuisine & Winter Experience
After an active day, warm up at Gostilna Zeleni rob or Okrepčevalnica Skodla, both open daily. Enjoy hot meals, local delicacies, and breathtaking views!
This weekend, Okrepčevalnica Skodla offers a special sweet Valentine’s menu.
Winter Hikes & Snowshoe Rentals
For those who love peaceful winter walks, we offer snowshoe rentals so you can explore the snow-covered trails of Velika Planina.
If you’re coming from Kranjski Rak, the road is cleared up to the Rakove ravni parking area.
