Every Friday and Saturday in December, the Zeleni rob restaurant invites you to enjoy evenings of Slovenian music. Relax in a cozy atmosphere and take advantage of “happy hour” from 6 PM to 8 PM. The Zeleni rob restaurant is open until 9 PM on Fridays and Saturdays.
Midnight Mass at the Chapel of Our Lady of the Snows
On Christmas Eve, December 24th, we invite you to a traditional Midnight Mass at the Chapel of Our Lady of the Snows. Experience a special festive evening as you make your way to the Mass with torches. The cable car will operate until 3:00 AM, and the chairlift until 11:15 PM. At the Zeleni rob restaurant, you can warm up and enjoy refreshments until 3:00 AM.
- 🎅 Visit from Santa Claus (10:30 AM – 12:30 PM): Santa Claus is coming to Velika planina! This time, he will arrive by cable car and then take the chairlift to the top. He will visit the Zeleni rob restaurant, where you can take photos with him and share your Christmas wishes.
- ✂️ Creative Workshops (11:00 AM – 1:00 PM):Creative workshops will take place at the Skodla snack bar, where children can make festive decorations.
- 🛷 Snow Tubing in the Children’s Park (10:00 AM – 3:00 PM): Enjoy fun snow tubing rides in the children’s park near the upper cable car station.
- 🧤 Snowshoeing on Velika planina (9:00 AM – 4:00 PM): Adults and winter enthusiasts can rent snowshoes at the upper cable car station and explore the snowy plateau on a scenic walk.

Ski School
During the Christmas holidays, ski courses for children aged 6 to 14 will be organized on Velika planina. The courses are led by an experienced team of ski instructors with ZUTS certification. Children will learn new skills on the snow in small, homogenous groups in a fun and engaging way.

Once enough snow has fallen, additional activities will be available:
- Skiing and sledding (including night sledding on a 2.5 km long illuminated track),
- Equipment rental: sleds, snowshoes, skis at the new rental shop “Smučka Rent,”
- Cross-country skiing trails,
- Children’s winter park and snow tubing,
- Guided snowshoeing tours.
A special winter culinary offer is prepared by the Skodla snack bar and the Zeleni rob restaurant.
